FAQ

GENERAL

  • Sure! I would love to help. I am currently receiving training in Trauma Informed Care and can provide low stress and personable care. As a part of Athens Wellness Collective, we offer massage, acupuncture, facials, and psychotherapy so let us coordinate a whole day for you. No reason to dread your annual exam. We are even getting an infrared sauna! Although I do not take insurance, I will provide a statement with appropriate coding and most insurances will reimburse you. I do accept HSA cards.

  • The word Midwife actually derives from Old English mid, “with”, and wif, “woman”, and thus originally meant “with-woman”. Miriam Webster Dictionary defines Midwife as 1: a person who assists women in childbirth and 2: one that helps to produce or bring forth something. I love that second definition and that is what I am setting out to do for my patients.

  • No, I do not. I find that not taking insurance gives me more freedom in the care that I provide. I take cash and credit cards including your HSA if you have one. I am also happy to provide you with a ‘super-bill’ with correct coding that you can submit to your insurance. Some services may be covered.

CARE

  • I sure do if that is what is appropriate for you and after a thorough exam, history review and discussion of the possible risks and benefits. Hot flashes be gone!

  • Nope. But I am happy to help you find a local provider that does.

  • Not yet! But I am learning more and more everyday and hope to be able to help in the future. In the meantime, I look forward to providing excellent and compassionate care to the entire LGBTQIA+ community. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

  • No, but I am happy to be a listening ear if you need one and also available post abortion should you need to discuss family planning. At Athens Wellness Collective, we can also schedule a massage, acupuncture, and/or psychotherapy afterwards if you would like.

  • I offer these medications through our Metabolic Optimization Program to appropriate candidates after a thorough evaluation and review of risks vs. benefits. Weight loss meds are most successful when combined with nutritional and lifestyle changes.
